Andrea Cameron

Executive Director, Inclusive Education, Anglophone

Andrea (she/her/elle) lives in Brockville, Ontario, on the traditional territory of many nations, including the Anishnaabeg, the Haudenosaunee, and the Huron-Wendat peoples.

Andrea is an educator and leader with more than twenty-seven years of experience teaching secondary students in English, drama, and musical theatre. Her career has taken her from Nepal to the community of Bella Bella on the central coast of British Columbia, and to Nunavut, giving her a broad perspective on education in diverse cultural and geographic contexts. Her role as a parent drew her into the world of disability rights and deepened her commitment to inclusive education. Since 2014, Andrea has been actively involved with the Brockville and District Association for Community Involvement, first as a member of their very active education committee and now as the Board President. In this capacity, she has championed inclusive education and community engagement, ensuring that the voices of families and those served are central to decision-making.

As Executive Director of Inclusive Education, Anglophone, Andrea works with teachers, administrators, and associates across Canada to strengthen schools through inclusive practices. She brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her leadership, guided by the conviction that all children deserve to learn and grow alongside their peers. Andrea believes inclusion is not only vital for strong schools, but also foundational to building just, resilient, and thriving communities.
