She emphasizes the need to share “best practices” and learn from each other. She also insists that “advocates” of inclusion – have to practice inclusion.

Wayne Clements is a teacher leader from Saskatchewan. Wayne served as a Vice President of the Canadian Teachers Federation and of the Teachers federation in Saskatchewan. He speaks out on the need to connect policy to practice to make inclusion work for students and their teachers.

Cindy Finn is the Director of Student Services for the Lester B. Pearson School Board in Montreal. PQ. She is active in developing support and training for teachers and principals on building effective resource teams.

Brian Kelly is the Acting Director of Student Services with the New Brunswick Department of Education. He has been a District Director as well as a school psychologist, and has been engaged in supporting inclusive education for more than 20 years.

Diane Richler is the President of Inclusion International. She has experience in Canada and in other countries. She was one of the leaders of the NGO effort to secure the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and played a critical role in developing Article 24 of the Convention that deals with education.

Bendina Miller is the Superintendent of Schools in School District No. 006 (Rocky Mountain ) Invermere, BC She has been a teacher and special education director in addition to other roles in the education system in Saskatchewan, Alberta and BC. She has also been a committed member of the Community Living movement. She was elected president of CACL in November 2007.
